Cycling on Sanbona - Food for the Soul!
Cycling on Sanbona - Food for the Soul!

The initial ride on Sanbona to identify and select Routes we can offer to guests wanting more exercise and participation of being on a bicycle whilst on Safari in our beautiful Reserve has taken place.

Cycling from Tilney at the crack of Dawn, the cyclists – Geran Ellish – Ranger Manager, Keir Lynch – Assistant Wildlife Manager, Scott Ristow – Wildlife Monitor, and the participants from Bike and Saddle – Gustav Erlank, Alan Thomas and Ben Sanders were reminded of the power of silence – except for the occasional wheezing of (some) cyclists involved!!!!

Moving up to the Staging Post, we had a much needed and anticipated break – seen above overlooking Terraced Dams onto the incredible Warmwaterberg Range – to say the view is breathtaking is an understatement and again the silence was profound – once rested!!

From here we moved down to the Great wall of Sanbona via Khanni where a vehicle picked us up for the return journey to Tilney.

All involved agreed it was a fantastic way to see and explore Sanbona’s best kept secret – the silence on a safari – food for the Soul!!
